  • Business information: Salon name, address, phone number, and service details.
  • Client records: Client names, phone numbers, email addresses, and appointment history entered by salon operators.
  • Call data: Phone numbers of callers, call recordings or transcripts processed by our AI receptionist, and booking details gathered during calls.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and device/browser information.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the TapIn platform.
  • To send appointment confirmation and reminder SMS/email messages to salon clients.
  • To process AI-assisted phone bookings via our receptionist feature.
  • To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts) — never marketing without consent.
  • To improve platform features and fix issues.

4. SMS Messaging

TapIn sends SMS messages only for transactional purposes: appointment confirmations and reminders. Message frequency depends on booking activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance. We do not sell your phone number or send marketing SMS without explicit consent.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Service providers (Twilio for SMS/calls, Resend for email, Vercel for hosting, Neon for database) under data processing agreements.
  • Salon operators who have a legitimate need to see their clients' booking data.
  • Law enforcement when required by applicable law.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and booking data for as long as your account is active. Call transcripts are stored to support booking history. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, encrypted at rest) and role-based access controls to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; we will notify affected users of any breach as required by law.
